Gu'al cavalry

We have just implemented four new units in the game. For dark elves we have Gu'al Cavalry (in stable) and Executioners (in barrack). Humans now have Knights (in stable) and Longswordsmen (in barrack).

These new troops require a rather expensive technology upgrade which you can do in the same building.


Get 'em runes!

Hi,

As most of you have noticed, it is impossible to steal runes on the speed server at the moment. Due to the new battle formula, which we had to test, we had deactived the actual rune stealing.

Today, we decided it was time to reactivate the rune stealing.

Please note that the victory percentage changed quite drastically: while before a 50% victory was a perfect tie, it now means an actual 50% victory. A tie is now represented by a 0% victory.

The amount of runes you steal is based on the difference between you and your target and your victory percentage. 0% victory results in 0 runes stolen, 100% victory results in stealing 10% of all runes on an equally sized village.

Please report any issues you might come across.

Update: Battle system & German translation

Due to a tiny bug in the battle system, troops didn't run away properly. This resulted in everlasting battles and troops that hardly ever ran away.

There was also a typo in the stats file, resulting in human spearmen costing an additional 200 gold. This price was reserved for stronger troops. Spearmen now cost 200 food and 150 iron to train.
